Saying for better or worse and I do are the most exciting parts for every couple alongside having cake at the reception. Couples plan their wedding months or even years in advance just to make sure everything will be in order on the big day. Everything are all set for the big day: the caterers and the church are already booked, the gown and the tux both fit well, and the wedding entourage are already finalized. But before the big day happens, pre-wedding photography is done with the couple in order to have nice photographs for the invitations and to let the couple and the photographer get to know each other.
Couples nowadays have different phyappointments with their photographer for the pre-wedding photogra. There are different types of pre-wedding photography that couples can avail. The save the date shoot, the engagement or pre-nuptial shoot and the test photo shoot at the location consist of these. These all happen before the wedding and provide the couple with photos they can use.
The couple usually have a save the day photo shoot in order to have pictures for their save the date video. Asking the guests of the wedding to save a specific date is basically its purpose. It is more of an announcement from the couple when they’re planning to get married, where and what time. This could also show the couple’s romantic stages of love before they decided to get married. The fun and playful side of the couple will be shown here. Memorable places for the couple like where they first met or where they shared their first kiss could be used as location for this shoot.
Once the save the date photo was done the engagement or pre-nuptial photo shoot immediately follows. Couples have different preferences when it comes to shooting their save the date and engagement shoots; some would like to do it all in one time while the other would like to do it separately. This pre-wedding photography shoot usually shows off the bride’s engagement ring and is held in a romantic location. It can also be done at a memorable place for the couple like the save the day shoot. The photos from this shoot are usually used in the invitation and the various backdrops at the reception. The romantic side of the couple will be shown in here.
The last pre-wedding shoot isn’t really considered a formal shoot. Some photographers prefer having some knowledge about the location of the wedding before the day itself. In order to know where the lights enter what lenses to use and what other types of equipment to bring the clients may be invited by the photographer to have a test shot at the venue. These shoots will be taken few days before the actual wedding.
The clients and the photographer will become more at ease and comfortable with each other through these pre-wedding photography shoots. This will give the photographer an easier time to shoot on the day of the wedding itself.
